Students will be guided and encouraged to explore and achieve their own unique potential and personal expression in a positive and fun learning environment. The program combines ballet technique lessons, story-telling and expressive dance and movement segments. It meets the needs of individual students and provides a positive childhood experience that increases self-confidence and creativity. Each week will feature a different ballet story and theme. No prior ballet experience is needed.

About Samia
Samia has been running two enrichment dance programs at St Theresa's School in West Roxbury and Sacred Heart School in Roslindale for the past 20 years, where she teaches students from kindergarten through to seventh grade. Samia was a Faculty Member at the Ballet Workshop of New England from 1996-2003, where she had been responsible for the school's youngest aspiring students, and was recently a faculty member of The Boston Ballet School.
Samia was born in Lebanon and throughout her formative years was a student in French Parochial schools where she became fluent in French, Arabic/Lebanese and English. She completed her classical and traditional dance training with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the Institute of Fine Arts of Beirut in 1989. She toured for 3 yrs with The Rahbani Company throughout Asia and Europe. Additionally, from 1985-88, she was Counselor for The Lebanese & French Union for Youth Enrichment in which her work focused upon Creative Movement and Dance for ages 3-12.
