Dance & Movement Summer Workshop

July 6-30, 2010

During July, TBBS will be offering a morning "Dance and Movement Summer Workshop".  This workshop will be an opportunity for children aged 4-8 years, girls and boys, to experience age-appropriate pre-ballet or ballet, other dance forms and fun activities with an emphasis on artistic movement and the stage.  It is open to all children - no prior experience is required, just lots of energy and enthusiasm!

Each day will start with an Opening Circle with all the children together. followed  by the first two classes of the day, including pre-ballet or ballet, creative dance, modern or jazz dance.  At mid-morning, there will be a rest period for story time and snack/refreshments.  In the second half of the morning, children will be introduced to a number of fun activities, including yoga and floor gymnastics and aerobics, as well as improvisation, stage direction and make-up.  The children will then come back together to close out the morning together.  Each week will retain certain activities to provide returning children the reassurance of continuity, but also introduce new activities to keep the kids on their toes!

Dates:     July 6-9, 12-16 and 26-30 (weekdays)

Hours:     9:00AM- 12 noon

Prices:    $200 for the week July 6-9 (4 days; no camp on Independence Day holiday)
              $250 for the weeks July 12-16, 19-23 or 26-30 (5 days)
              10% discount for enrollment for 2-4 weeks
              10% discount for siblings
